“If you stand against injustice, we stand with you. And if you stand against Netanyahu, a man whose crimes the entire world now knows and recognizes, we stand with you,” he said.
" Even your worldly interests will suffer — This Is a losing and failed deal," the reputed scholar stressed.
He added that Netanyahu is no longer accepted in the West, but, regrettably, some Islamic countries continue to accept him. “This is where the pain lies: Christians refuse to engage with Netanyahu, while Muslims accept him, even though Netanyahu has not killed as many innocent Christians as he has Muslims. Indeed, the number of Sunnis he has killed exceeds the number of Shias,” he said.
Seyyed Ali Khomeini described Netanyahu as a “malicious criminal,” saying: “These are the words of our scholars. We want you to be respected in the world and to fulfill your religious duties. We want our governments to be governments that earn the satisfaction of the Seal of the Prophets (PBUH).”
He stressed that engagement with Netanyahu undoubtedly hurts the heart of the Prophet (PBUH), adding that this is a position shared by all Islamic schools of thought.
“Which school of thought says that engagement with this criminal is permissible?! He is a man who has killed vast numbers of innocent people. So why is such engagement taking place? Even your worldly interests will suffer from this deal. It is a losing and failed deal,” he said.
