Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, in a message expressing his profound grief and condemning the crime in which dozens of women, children, and civilians were killed in Sirik, Hormozgan, and other compatriots and brave fighters were martyred, emphasized:
“The world, and particularly our region, clearly remembers the bitter memories of similar crimes. Everyone knows all too well that the empty claims of defending democracy, human rights, and global security ultimately lead to the most heinous criminal acts—and this is nothing other than the very nature of arrogance and domination.”
According to Jamaran, the full text of Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini’s message is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most High
Once again, the unclean hand of criminal America has been stained with the blood of innocent human beings. During the recent acts of aggression against beloved Iran, it turned the wedding celebration of the oppressed people of Hormozgan into a mourning ceremony.
The world, and particularly our region, clearly remembers the bitter memories of similar crimes. Everyone knows all too well that the empty claims of defending democracy, human rights, and global security ultimately lead to the most heinous criminal acts—and this is nothing other than the very nature of arrogance and domination.
I hereby express my profound grief and condemnation over the crime in which dozens of women, children, and civilians in Sirik, Hormozgan, were killed, as well as the martyrdom of other compatriots and brave fighters. I extend my condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families and the people of that region.
With hope for the eradication of oppression and arrogance, and for the victory of the Iranian nation in its struggle against aggression and in securing its rights.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini
