Whenever an issue arose, Imam was present. There was never a situation in which he left people confused or uncertain about what to do.
For example, when the Rex Cinema fire in Abadan occurred, everyone was bewildered: What had happened? What position should be taken? What should be done? Had the government done it? Had the Iraqis done it? Had the saboteurs done it?
Then, suddenly, Imam’s statement would come out before anyone else’s. Before others in Iran—even the activists—had issued any statement, Imam’s statement was already in the hands of the people.
