Unity was “obligatory” in Imam Khomeini’s view

Imam Khomeini did not reduce unity to merely a moral recommendation; he regarded it as a “divine-religious obligation.”

From this perspective, unity demonstrates its true significance when it goes beyond the level of advice or political expediency and becomes a responsibility.

A society that needs collective strength in the face of threats cannot defend its independence and interests without internal cohesion.

“It is obligatory upon all Muslims to stand together. According to Islam, Muslims must be one united hand; everyone must stand together. This is a divine-religious obligation entrusted to us and to the entire nation.”
