You gentlemen who have made a move for Islam and in the pursuit of knowledge, who have donned the robes of Islam and the prophets, you who are clothed in the dress of the clergy should not think that studying without invoking the Name of the Lord is of use to you. It could be harmful at times. Knowledge, sometimes, gives rise to pride, throwing one off the straight path. Those who promoted the faith were, generally, learned people.
