Hojjat ul-Islam Sayyid Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic, made the remarks during a ceremony which was held by cultural heritage organization in Tehran.
The organization has registered the ceremonies, held on the departure anniversary of Imam Khomeini, as a national heritage inheritance event in the Iranian history.
He hoped that the Iranian people and devotees of Imam across the world will continue to mark these ceremonies and shield its spiritual message with a great enthusiasm over the coming years.
The gathering was attended by head and directors of the organization and several others prominent academics, intellectuals and cultural figures.
The Muslim scholar also thanked the organization for registering events such as Ashura (Mourning ceremonies for Imam Hossein—peace be upon him) and Nowrouz as part of the Iranian national heritage inheritance.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini highlighted significance of transferring the spiritual heritage and spirit of Iranian culture to the coming generation through soft material and communications methods, sources and means.
Therefore, the future generations will find a way and an opportunity to lead their lives decorated with Iranian culture and traditions, he added.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini thanked the Center for Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, for rendering great services to the nations and promoting the Iranian culture.
