Addressing a gathering of scholars, intellectuals and seminary figures, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that the Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam has deeply roots in Quranic teachings and was inspired by the geninue teachings of the holy scripture.
The summit titled "The holy Quran in thought and life-style of Imam Khomeini" was held at the holy masoleum of Imam Khomeini, which is located on southern suburbs of the Iranian capital Tehran.
The internationaly-reputed scholar went onto say that Imam sought to revive the real spirit of the Islamic and Quranic teachings in Muslim societies in current era.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that publishing and reciting Quran has been of great significance, but the Imam wanted the Islamic society to comprehend the true message and spirit of the divine scripture.
It is worth-noting that Imam Khomeini wanted to rule of law to return the society and each segment of the society feel responsible and accountable about the duties and tasks assigned to them.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
Imam time and again stressed that humanity must be obliged to holy Quran, and the divine book should present all perspectives of human lives.
According to Imam Khomeini, the leader of contemporary Muslim world, this book and this table spread everywhere from the East to the West, is a book used from the Revelation to Doom"s day by all men; Layman, learned man, philosopher, mystic, Jurisprudent, etc.
