The special occasion of 13th of Aban or 4th November is marked every year to reject all colonial policies and students appeal the international community to observe the rule of mutual respect in the international relations.

What happened on 4th November?

Following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the Iranian nation opposed aggressive policies of colonial powers in the strategic region of Middle East and elsewhere, and declared support for the rights of oppressed people.
Some so-called super powers who couldn’t tolerate the Iranian’s independent and sovereign policies launched a smear campaign of Iranophobia.
The Islamic Republic, which was against the US unconditional support for racial and apartheid regime of Israel, voiced support for the oppressed people of Palestine and defended the rights of Palestinians. The Islamic-democratic system also opposed the colonial policies of the then Soviet Union.
