Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini made remarks during a meeting with families of martyrs and commanders who rendered sacrifices during the eight-year war imposed by the former Iraqi regime of Saddam on the Islamic Republic during the 1980s.
The families of martyr also attended a congregational prayer led by Seyyed Hassan Khomeini at Imam Khomeini’s shrine which is located at the southern suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Addressing the families, the internationally-reputed scholar said that Imam Khomeini has been a center and focal point of most of the memoirs left by martyrs and those who rendered sacrifices during the holy defense.
He also went onto say that last Will and testaments left by martyrs shape very basic fundamentals of the Islamic Revolution.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini described emotional and spiritual association of people and martyrs with the late founder of the Islamic Republic as an essence and identity of the revolution.
The Muslim scholar concluded by saying that martyrs are spiritual peak and highest point of spirituality in the society.
