Seyyed Ammar Hakim, the Head of Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, made remarks while paying homage to the founder of the Islamic Republic at his holy mausoleum, which is located on suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Hakim went onto say that he pays visit to Imam Khomeini’s holy shrine at first whenever he visits Iran.
The prominent cleric and politician pointed out that the Islamic movement under the banner of Imam Khomeini had brought dignity, freedom and grandeur for several Islamic nations including the Iraqi public and people.
The Islamic Revolution and its accomplishments had added to esteem of the followers of the holy prophet and his Ahlul Bayt, the Muslim scholar noted.
He concluded by saying that Imam Khomeini created and boosted unity among Sunni and Shia Muslims.
