In all my life I never saw the Imam tell his lady such a thing as ‘close the door.’ Time and time again I observed his wife come and be seated at the side of the Imam while His eminence would himself get up and close the door. He would not even ask me to close the door. One day I suggested to the Imam to ask the lady to close the door just as she entered the room. To which the Imam replied: “I have no right to order her around.” He would not ask her for anything even in the form of a request.
