Imam Khomeini believed that building solidarity among Muslims required sustained cultural and intellectual efforts. Rather than allowing historical disagreements to divide the Muslim community, he encouraged Muslims to focus on their shared beliefs, common interests, and collective responsibilities.

Imam Khomeini once said the holy shrine of al-Rida (PBUH) in holy city of Mashhad is the source of endless divine blessings and mercies. Imam Khomeini urged Muslims to follow holy prophet, pure progeny Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic used such occasions to remind the Muslim ummah about divine characters of the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors.
