A specialized meeting was held to review and finalize the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works.


According to the Media and Cyberspace Department of the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works’ International Affairs Office, the meeting was convened as part of efforts to explain and promote the thoughts of the architect of the Islamic Revolution at the international level. The session, focusing on exploring the implementation capacities of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions active in the international arena, was held on Monday, August 10, 2026, hosted by the Cultural Affairs Department of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.


The meeting aimed to assess the operational aspects of the MoU and align the two institutions’ shared capacities in the fields of academic and research activities, international media productions, and cultural diplomacy.


The objective was to establish a new roadmap for effective engagement in the international arena and to address the intellectual and cultural needs of international audiences.


The strategic meeting was attended by Dr. Nasser Sarli, Deputy for Cultural Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought; Hassan Mousavi, Director General of Publications and Artistic Affairs; Mohammad Reza Shishegaran, Head of the Department of Relations with Non-Governmental Organizations; Dr. Mohammad Reza Vafaei, Deputy for International Affairs of the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works; Mahmoud Darini, Director General of Translation and Foreign-Language Text Production; and Dr. Neko-Laleh Azad, Director General of International Communications of the Institute.


The participants emphasized the need to move beyond traditional approaches to international outreach and promotion, and discussed innovative strategies for utilizing the capacities of cyberspace and engagement with intellectual and academic elites to disseminate the works and ideas of Imam Khomeini within the framework of Islamic schools of thought rapprochement.


At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that specialized working groups would be established to immediately implement the agreed-upon provisions, with a focus on joint research and international projects.


Periodic progress reports on the activities would also be submitted to the relevant authorities.
