After the burial of martyr Mustafa, Imam Khomeini came to the holy shrine in the holy city of Najaf on the first night and asked about the burial site of his beloved son
Imam was led to the grave of the martyr Mostafa, where he knelt, facing the Qiblah (prayer direction), and recited the opening chapter of Quran and surah al-Qadr seven times.
Then he turned to the audience and urged them to “seek God the Almighty for forgiveness for him.”
In that gathering and assembly, one of the religious speaker went on the pulpit of the holy shrine began recounting mourning and sufferings of Ali Akbar, the younger son of Imam Hossein (‘a) who was martyred in Karbala.
At this point, Imam held his handkerchief and began to weep in louder voice in remembrance of Imam Hossein (‘a) sufferings.
But when the speaker spoke of the death of Imam’s beloved son, Mostafa, Imam stopped shedding tears and fell silent.
This all showed Imam’s devotion to the household of the holy prophet of Islam
